Zona Marie Wilbur Tirak passed away on April 29, 2017 of unknown causes. Born August 31, 1957 in Lancaster, California to William and Claudette Wilbur, she was the oldest of 4 daughters.
Growing up in Lancaster, California she graduated from Antelope Valley High School and went on to attend Antelope Valley College, majoring in nursing. After graduating, she moved to Palmdale, California with her husband where she raised two children, Sheila Marie and Michael Laurence.
Zona worked in many medical facilities where she gave loving care to all she came in contact with. After a divorce in 2001, she moved her family to San Diego where she began working with the VA Hospital and strengthened her testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her happiest moments were spent with grandchildren (Austin, Mikaylah, Cameron, Ariahna, Adam, Jordan, Kaden, and Joey) and family. She served as a Matron and Coordinator in the San Diego Temple for 5 years. She was the most loving, compassionate, understanding, giving, kind, and patient woman, which showed in the service she gave to all.
Zona's funeral will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Spanish Fork, Utah LDS Canyon View Stake Center located at 989 South 2550 East. Public viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. and services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
