William Wilson

May 31, 1939 — March 31, 2018

Our Husband, father, Grandfather and brother, William L. (Willie) Wilson, 78, of Payson, Utah, passed from his earthly body, on Saturday March 31, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.

William was born in Spanish Fork, Utah on May 31, 1939 to Fred L. Wilson and Helen E. Johnson. He married his sweet heart Marilynn Coombs on June 16, 1961. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS temple. Together they had 4 children; Tony (Linda) Wilson, Amy (Reid) Stubbs, Jason Wilson, and Paul (Heather) Wilson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; LoisAnn (David) Cameron and Helen Marie Jackson.

Willie grew up in Spanish Fork graduating from Spanish Fork High and UVU formerly known as Utah Trade Tech., he earned a degree in diesel mechanics but his love was in welding. Willie created many beautiful pieces of art using scraps of metal he had laying around.

He had a great love for his family and the outdoors spending as much time as he could up Payson canyon and surrounding areas. He took his family camping as much as possible in the summer and fall, hunting and fishing and just spending time together. He believed that camping together was the best way to stay close. Until recent years he always had a horse or 2 and loved to ride whenever possible.

A viewing will be held Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LDS Chapel at 900 W. 400 N. Payson, Utah. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Thursday April 5, 2018 at the Payson City Cemetery. To express condolences visit LegacyFunerals.com
