William "Cooper" Hansen: A Life Celebrated in Laughter and Joy

William "Cooper" Hansen, a whirlwind of energy and infectious laughter, left this world far too soon on January 1, 2025, in Sandy, Utah. Born on October 4, 2004, in Murray, Utah, Cooper's impact on those around him was immeasurable, a testament to the joy he packed into his 20 years.

Life with Cooper was anything but ordinary. He was a true adventurer, whether he was scouring thrift stores for the next hidden gem, showcasing his athleticism on the football and track fields, or simply enjoying his eclectic music taste (opera to OutKast – who knew?). Remember those impromptu shower concerts? Pure magic!

Cooper was a born competitor. Epic lightsaber battles with his dad and siblings turned the neighborhood into a galactic warzone every summer. And let's not forget the legendary nerf gun wars – chaos reigned supreme in the Hansen household when more than one nerf gun was around. He was a thrill-seeker at heart, always up for an adventure, whether it was skateboarding, rock climbing, or getting (slightly) lost in Walmart while searching for the perfect Lego set.

Cooper cherished the simple pleasures in life. He was a devoted animal lover and spoiled the family pets every chance he got. He loved the peace and tranquility of camping and hiking, especially when he could share those moments with his fiance, Su'Myah. Watching sunsets together became a special ritual for them, a time to connect and appreciate the beauty of the world.

Cooper's mischievous streak was legendary. Playing hooky was an art form, and he was a master. And who could forget the epic "Ducky" and "Pink" blanket wars with his brother Sean? Classic Cooper!

Cooper leaves behind a legacy of joy and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving parents, Ron Hansen (Jennessa Herde Hansen) and Christy Hathaway Hansen (Bud Jones), his siblings Marc Hansen (Emily Hansen), Sean Hansen, and Caitlin Hansen, his fiance Su'Myah McMillan, and a countless number of friends and family who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.

Cooper's spirit will live on in the memories we cherish: his contagious laughter, his love for his family, his passion for life, the joy he found in nature with Su'Myah, his affection for animals, and the undeniable coolness he exuded. Please join us in celebrating Cooper's life by sharing your favorite memories and photos. Let's keep his laughter echoing in our minds and his love warming our souls.
