Valenna Alize Penrod, 21, was born on Feb. 17, 2002 and passed away on Feb. 17, 2023. She was born in Provo, Utah as the second child to Eric Ryan Penrod and Stephanie Wroten Penrod.
Valenna received her CNA certification from MTECH in 2019 and graduated from Maple Mountain High School in 2020 with summa cum laude. She recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Utah Valley University, and was working towards her Master's Degree with the goal of becoming a Junior High counselor.
Valenna was always a hard worker and held multiple jobs at once. Her most recent jobs were working as a substitute teacher for Nebo School District and supervising at Taco Bell, all while she was attending school full time.
She is survived by her parents Eric Ryan Penrod and Stephanie Wroten Penrod; siblings Parker Ryan Penrod (Rubi), Shaylee AshLynn Penrod, Ember Ann Penrod, and Takaeya Cathi Penrod; Grandma Cathi Lyn Perry
Penrod; Granddad John Robert Wroten Jr.
She was preceded in death by Grandpa Charlie "Papa" Ryan Penrod; Grandma Alize Sinnett Wroten.
Valenna cared so much about people and defended the underdog. She always put other's needs and wants before her own. She also had the best sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. She loved listening to
music of all kinds and was talented with the guitar. She had a deep love for the ocean and sea animals. She was an amazing athlete and dancer.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at LDS church building, 505 E 900 N, Spanish Fork, Ut 84660 at 11:00 a.m. The services will be livestreamed as well. For those whowould like to attend online, the

Valenna prioritized comfort and loved wearing comfortable clothes. She would love it if you wore whatever clothes you're comfortable in, whether that is a dress/suit, jeans, or sweats.
