Tanna Moss Bookout, born on February 17, 1943, joined her soul mate on January 18, 2025, in Springville, Utah.
Tanna was married to her beloved husband, Jim Bookout, in Elko, Nevada on July 6th 1979. They made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho where they raised their daughter, Tausha. They were sealed for eternity in the Rexburg Temple on June 13th 2015, a testament to their enduring love and faith. Together, they shared a life filled with cherished memories and adventures.
Tanna had a shared love for the outdoors with Jim and spent countless hours fishing and camping along the Snake River and on Palisades damn. She found joy in nature’s beauty and treasured these moments they spent together. Tanna loved family gatherings during the holidays where she often joined in games of pinochle, always aiming to "shoot the moon."
Her greatest joy came from her family. Tanna loved her children and grandchildren dearly and cherished every opportunity to spend time with them. She was known for her generous spirit and unwavering willingness to help others whenever she could.
Tanna’s warmth, kindness, loud laugh and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she held close.
Tanna is survived by the following: daughters, Cynthia (Jesse) Silva of Seattle and Tausha (Chris) Cook of Idaho Falls; brothers, Kirt (Sherrie) Harris of Salem; Jim (Marietta) Harris of Boise; grandchildren, Ace Cook, Kaysha Cook, Enrique Silva, Jessica Silva and Alexcia Silva.
Tanna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Bookout; brothers, Don Harris and Steve Harris; and sister, Jeanne Dobbins.
