Sharon Gray Ballard was born on October 11, 1944, to Willa and Owen C. Gray in Mesa, Arizona. She was reunited with her sweetheart, William (Bill) Ballard, Jr., on January 11, 2025, in Spanish Fork, Utah, surrounded by her children. Her unwavering faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ and her deep love for her family sustained her through difficult times. She always sought guidance from the Spirit and knew of Heavenly Father’s love for her.
Sharon was sealed to Bill in the Mesa Arizona Temple on February 28, 1964, and is survived by their four children: Lenay (Matt) Porter, Bryan (Yuko) Ballard, Lori (Wyatt) Ashton, and Jared (Tricia) Ballard; her sister-in-law Becki (Mike) Vernon; 36 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Mom blessed 1,529,893 people through indexing for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This accomplishment brought her great joy. She filled our home with a love of music, reading, and the gospel. Her various hobbies included sewing, ceramics, piano, and genealogy.
Sharon was a cherished daughter of God who embraced life with courage, love, and a fierce determination to overcome her challenges.
We invite family to come and share memories of Mom on January 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. The celebration/light brunch will be held at the LDS cultural hall, 1167 South 1700 East, Spanish Fork, Utah, 84660.
