Roderick Sayers

May 27, 1943 — December 31, 2019

Rod, as he was known, was a Grandfather, Father, husband and his great love was Temple Work and the scriptures. He was born a Cockney in Lambeth London and married his sweetheart in 1969 they had 51 years together.



He brought his family from England to America in 1976 and spent many years taking his son and daughter on walks, fishing trips and personal date nights. He served as a Branch President, and many other callings. He was a High Priest who spent many hours searching and sharing the scriptures with family and friends. He was a Provo Temple Worker for over 20 years. He had intimate moments within the Temple walls and longed to be able to return to the Temple.



Over his lifetime of 76 years, he loved his family, served his church and was devoted to his Savior. He is survived by his wife Gillian, his son Darren(Colleen) and grandson Elyon, his daughter Trudy and Brother Micheal and sister Zelda (England) and many nieces and nephews and extended family.



On Saturday, January 11th, 2020 from 9:45 to 10:45 am gathering time to visit with family, followed by a memorial service at 11 am in the Chapel at 2557 Dalton Drive Springville Utah Kolob 10th ward building. He will be laid to rest in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery with his sister Sandra.
