Robert Kelly Snow, 61, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Springville, Utah after fighting a brief and brave battle with lung cancer.
Kelly was born December 4, 1956 in Provo, Utah to Robert Douglas and Sandra Larsen Snow and was raised in Springville. He married Paula Dibble December 29, 1984 and they had two daughters, Callie Mae and Chalisse. They made their home in Springville.
He attended Springville schools, including Springville High School. He worked for the family business, Snow Dairy, Inc. He later became an expert brick mason and was proud of the many buildings throughout the Utah region that he helped construct. He loved the outdoors. Next to his family, fishing was the love of his life.
Kelly always maintained a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and found ways to do what he loved -- fishing, using his many handyman skills, being with family, and entertaining everyone with his endless stories, remarkable memory and attention to detail. He was a loving, involved father and friend to all. He was grateful for the wonderful life he lived and always tried to make the best out of everything in life. In his words, "I always tried hard to accept the hand I was dealt." He was thankful for the dear, lifelong friends who stood by him, took him fishing and kept him smiling. His goal to the end was to leave people smiling when they were around him -- regardless his health challenges.
He is survived by his wife Paula, and two beloved daughters Callie Mae Snow and Chalisse Snow Crandall and son-in-law, Leland Crandall; his siblings Laurie Snow Turner (Douglas Brent Turner), Mark Allen Snow (Sherry Groll Snow) and Sallie Snow Muir.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 E. 800 S. Springville, Utah, from 6-8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Rotary Park, Left Fork Hobble Creek Road, Hobble Creek Canyon.
