Rhea Darling

Rhea Ann Gasser Darling, age 88, passed away peacefully at home, August 13th, 2024.

 Rhea was born on July 18th, 1936 to Albert and Hazel Gasser of Payson Utah, where she grew up and attended school.

 She married Clair Darling on December 2nd 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they moved to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where Clair was stationed in the Army. There they made their first home, and had their first child, Bryan.

 When Clair finished his military service, they moved back to Utah where Clair attended BYU and received a degree in education. They had their 2nd child Jolene and moved to Gunnison Utah where Clair taught school. They moved back to Spanish Fork a few years later and had three more children, Rick, Gaylyn, and Steven.

 Rhea was a devoted mother. She worked to help support her family whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, painting, and quilting. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and was a wonderful example of faith and hard work to her children and grandchildren.

 Rhea was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Clair and 5 children, Bryan Darling, Jolene & Eric Bylund, Rick & Annette Darling, Gaylyn & Jack Widdison, and Steven Darling, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 The family would like to thank Heather Lyman and the entire staff at Aspen Ridge for their wonderful care.
