Ralph Mecham

Dean Mecham, aka, Mean Sombitch, 56, passed away January 13, 2014, from a hard valiant battle with Cancer. He was born March 16, 1957 in Payson UT. He graduated from Payson High School, received an Associates Degree with High Honors from UVSC, in Electrical Automation Robotics Technology, and an Associates of Science Degree from Snow College.



He made his home in Axtell, UT with his son Matthew and his two "babies" Wolf and Sissy. He was a faithful God fearing Christian, who loved to ride horses, hunt, be outdoors, and loved every aspect of Agriculture. He was very artistic in many ways, building and creating. Dad was an outspoken, tell it how it is, truthful man. You knew where you stood...even if it was in the outfield.



He is survived by his children, Andrea Mecham? Jenny (Shad) Rhoades? Amy Hansen? Matthew Mecham? his step son Austin (Afton) Nielson? and 8 Grandchildren. He is survived by his mother Lavina Throckmorton, 6 sisters, and 2 brothers. Preceded in death by his Father, Ralph James Mecham.



The family would like to send a special thanks to the Gunnison Valley Hospital and Home Care for their devoted care and attention. We would like to extend a thank you to those whom have donated for your extreme generosity. Dad's "Party" will be held Saturday January 18, 2014 at his home. 135 N. 200 W. Axtell, UT. Open House 11:30am - 3:30pm. He wanted everyone to come, eat, visit and celebrate his life. There was never a goodbye without a big hug, and an "I love you sweetheart". Here is our "big hug" and "WE LOVE YOU, DAD". You will be missed, until we see you again.
