Norman Carver Van Ausdal, 90, passed away on February 13, 2019 in Spanish Fork, Utah, just
one day before the anniversary of his wife's passing on Valentine's Day, 12 years ago.
Norman was born July 23, 1928 in Eureka, Utah to Robert Carl and Norma Carver Van Ausdal.
He was the fourth of ten children. He married Norma Dorene Sperry on August 6, 1947. They were
sealed in the Manti Temple on November 23, 1957.
As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he has held many
positions including bishop of the Spanish Fork Sixteenth Ward. He has loved working on cars, trucks and
campers and also hunting and camping with his family and has spent many happy times at "The
Property" in Nephi Canyon. He had great love for all of his family and loved spending time with them.
He is survived by his children: Bob (Sheila) Van Ausdal, Beckii (Richard - {deceased}) Bandley,
Brad (Jill) Van Ausdal, Bret (Ann) Van Ausdal, and Brooke Whittekiend, and twenty one grandchildren
and forty eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters: Juanita Hutchings, Ruth Wall,
Myrlee Van Ausdal and Eileen (Dean) Wall.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Beehive Homes Assisted Living for their kind and
loving care.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Maple Mountain
7 th Ward chapel, 761 E 400 N., Spanish Fork, Utah. There will be a visitation preceding the funeral from
11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
