Nancy Lassen

August 29, 1923 — December 5, 2016

Nancy Ruth Alexander Lassen, 93, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away peacefully at home December 5, 2016.



She was born August 29, 1923 to Murphy David and Ruth Mary Alexander in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Taylor School, Central School, and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She graduated from Trade Tech in key punch. She married Harold Soren Lassen September 6,1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, May 18, 1961. They are the parents of two children, Karen (Lee) Dickerson, and Steven A. Lassen (Marsha).



Nancy had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her Savior and her Heavenly Father. She knew of the truthfulness of the gospel and served faithfully in many positions, including Primary, Relief Society, and MIA. She was a hard worker and was employed by the Barbizon clothing factory and in the bakery at Roy's Foodmart for many years. She loved to travel and visited many places in the USA and Europe. She enjoyed spending her winters in Yuma, Arizona.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karen Dickerson; granddaughter, Kristin Farnsworth; a brother and four sisters. She is survived by her son, Steven (Marsha), son-in-law Lee Dickerson, grandchildren, Lisa (Kelly) Gordon, Todd Dickerson, Brett (Petrea) Lassen, Heather (Weston) Youd, Heidi Ann (Brandon ) Dart, 16 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and sister Joyce Johnson.



We would like to thank all the workers who lovingly took care of Nancy and enabled her to stay at home.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Escalante Ward Chapel, 99 North 920 West, Spanish Fork, Utah. A visitation will be held at the chapel one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
