Mary McDaniel

Mary Ellen Molyneux McDaniel, age 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 1, 2025 at Beehive Homes in Santaquin, UT.

Mary was born November 15, 1946 in Provo, UT to Eugene Arthur Molyneux Sr and Mary Casebolt Molyneux. She was the middle of 3 children and their only daughter. Mary graduated from Provo High School in 1965. She went to Snow College. She later went to BYU where she met the love of her life and eternal companion Elvin Howard McDaniel. They were married on December 9, 1977 in the Provo temple. They raised their 3 children, Heather, Scott, and Shannon in Provo. They resided there until they moved into Beehive homes in 2021. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She also loved being a den leader for the club scouts and did that for many years.

Mary was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Tomie, and Niece Stacy. She is survived by her husband Elvin McDaniel of Santaquin. Daughter Heather (Joseph) Gull of Santaquin. Son Scott (Katie) McDaniel of Payson. Daughter Shannon (Dennis) Twitchell of VA. Grandchildren: Cassandra Appell, Ammon Gull, Samantha McDaniel, Jacob Gull, Audrina McDaniel, Clara Twitchell, Kaylie Twitchell, Tennyson Twitchell, and Elanna Twitchell.

There will be a viewing on Saturday March 8, 2025. From 11am-12pm at Legacy funeral homes in Spanish Fork, UT, with graveside services at 12:30pm in the Provo City Cemetery. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Linzy and all the staff at Beehive homes for their love and care over the years. Also to Icare Home Health and Hospice. We can’t put into words how much you all meant to her and to us. Thank you again for all you do!
