Our Momma, Mary Dahl Lilienthal, 72, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 10th, 2016. This day she was finally free of a lifetime of pain and ailments. Mary was born October 19th, 1943 to Everett and Cora Dahl. She was born in Murray Utah, but grew up in Kamas Utah and graduated from South Summit High School in 1961.
Mary had 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Among the children Mary was the fifth child. From a young age she had a deep love of animals and nature. She was married to Leonard Lilienthal for 9 years and had 4 children and eventually 7 grandchildren. She later was married to Gerald Kanouff for 13 years.
Mary was a gifted seamstress and made most of her clothing for most of her life! She also enjoyed making her childrens clothing. She was also quite a talented artist and enjoyed drawing with pastels.
Mary is survived by her son Jason, daughter Jennifer (Travis), son Joshua (Amy), and daughter Joy (Brent). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, her sister Wendy (Bob) and brother, Edwin. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Cora Dahl, brother and sister in law, James and Della Dahl, sister, Judy Dahl and sister, Janice Evans.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoytsville LDS Chapel in Hoytsville, Utah on Friday, July 15th, 2016. The viewing will be from 1:30-2:00pm followed by services and interment in Evanston City Cemetery, Evanston Wyoming.
