Marvin Daniel Flint, 65, died Friday, October 30, 2015, in Nephi, Utah of double pneumonia. He was born January 18, 1950 in Ogden to Daniel Young Flint and Lena Alice Todd and was raised in Syracuse, Layton, and Kaysville. He served as an AE3-E-4 aviation electrician in the United States Navy, earning the National Defense Service Medal. Marvin married Carolena Barnes November 18, 1988 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Syracuse before moving to Springville in 1999. She died in 2009. He loved John Wayne movies and baseball. For the past seven years he has been a resident at Heritage Hills Care Center in Nephi. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and wife, a sister, Barbara Kilfoyle, and brothers, Richard, Gary, and Ronald Flint. Surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bert and Leola Naylor, Springville, Mark and Darla Barnes, Las Vegas, and nieces and nephews; Jane Kilfoyle Thompson, Wendy Garrard, Brenda Naylor, Brian Naylor, Jari Barnes Hitchen, Duaine Naylor, Chad Barnes, Lisa Barnes Garcia and Shaun Naylor. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
