Mareen Robinson was born on June 19, 1943 in Taft, California, the daughter of Marion and Erdeen Evertsen. She lived most of her childhood in Phoenix, Arizona with her seven brothers and sisters. She married James Bryan Robinson on June 17, 1968 in Los Angeles, California.
Mareen did her undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and received her Dental Hygiene degree from USC Dental School. She worked as a dental hygienist for most of her life.
Mareen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and has served in many callings over the years, including being the ward organist and temple organist many times. She also was a member of the Spanish Fork Community Theater Board for the last 10 years and spent countless hours behind her sewing machine making costumes for the theater and her children and grandchildren. Sewing was her passion, and the Community Theater will feel her loss greatly. She loved to serve others, and was a blessing to everyone who knew her.
Mareen Robinson passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, after a two-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Robinson; children and spouses; Julianne Wilkins, Spanish Fork, UT, Jason Lance (Erin) Robinson, Draper, UT; 8 loving grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her mother, Erdeen Evertsen, 3 sisters, Suzanne (Rick) Markgraff, Karen (Mark) Wright, and Kathy (David) Weiner; 3 brothers, Robert (Rita) Evertsen, LeRoy (Vicky) Evertsen, and Earl (Daneen) Evertsen; 1 brother in law, John Robinson, and 1 sister in law, Tina Archibald. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Evertsen, and brother, James D Evertsen.
Memorial Service for Mareen Robinson, 73, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Palmyra LDS Church, 1866 West 5000 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. In lieu of flowers, Mareen asked that memorial donations be made to your local Animal Shelter.
