Madeline Angelo

July 5, 1923 — August 1, 2013

Madeline (Elaine) Angelo, beloved mother, aunt, sister and friend passed away in her sleep on August 1, 2013 at her home in Lehi, Utah. She was born July 5, 1923 to Nicholas and Josephine Gaudioso in Newark, New Jersey, the 1st of 3 girls.

Elaine grew up in Belleville, New Jersey and graduated from Belleville High at the young age of 15. She worked for the Federal Government as a secretary for 34 years until she retired.

Elaine had many loves which included Glen Miller, The Andrew Sisters, Frank Sinatra, knitting, shorthand, and reading anything and everything she could get her hands on. Often you could find her working on a crossword puzzle or listening/dancing to WNEW's "Make Believe Ballroom." She was always ready for a good laugh.

Elaine was married twice-first to Carmine (Doc) Chimenti for a short time until he passed away. She then married Walter L. Angelo, which lasted 39 years. After the passing of Walter, she moved to Utah to live with her daughter, Denise.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise, sister Barbara Hahn (Bill) and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents and sister Jean Gerard.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Elaine's 90 years at an open house on August 10, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at her home in Lehi, Utah. Elaine's ashes will be interred beside her husband Walter in Toms River, New Jersey at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity.

A heartfelt thanks to Horizon Hospice and to all who helped make Elaine's final weeks sweet and peaceful.
