Lyle Clark Wilde born July 26, 1929 to Lyle LeRoy Wilde and Coral Clark Wilde in Oakley Utah. Clark
grew up in Oakley helping his father raise cattle and sheep on the South Fork of the Weber River,
where he learned many of life's valued lessons. The outdoors was his favorite place to be. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. His sport of choice was rodeo. While attending college he earned the title of All Around Cowboy and attained the position of third in the nation in bareback riding. Clark married Ruth LuWana Thompson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 14, 1957. Clark continued his career in cattle buying, moving his family to Mesa Arizona where he and his wife raised their five children. Learning was a passion for Clark, if he had a spare minute you would find him reading. Clark also served his country in the Korean War as a diesel mechanic.
Clark is survived by his wife LuWana Wilde, children Carey Wilde (Melanie), Jeff Wilde (Kristen), Elizabeth Fitzgerald, Annette Wilde, Lyle Wilde (LeAnn), sisters, Corrine Oliverson, Marilyn Bowen,Donna Cooley, 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of the staff of the Veterans Home in Payson, UT for their great care.
Funeral services will be held in Oakley, UT at Oakley First Ward building, 1224 W State Rd 32, Oakley UT at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015. A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. prior to the funeral services.
