Lloyd Hemmert

January 31, 1935 — April 27, 2016

Lloyd Hyrum Hemmert, passed away peacefully at age 81 on April 27, 2016 in Salt Lake City.



He was born in St. Charles, Bear Lake, Idaho on January 31, 1935 to Robert and Ida Hemmert. He married Edna LaGene Stott, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 16 1962. They had three children: Lloyd Gene Hemmert, Kevin Ray Hemmert and Robyn LaJean Hemmert and seven grandchildren.



He is survived by his two sons Lloyd G. Hemmert (Janice Hemmert) Salt Lake City, Utah, Kevin R Hemmert (Tana Hemmert) West Jordan, Utah, seven grandchildren Branden, MacGyver, Austin, Dallen, Jayden, Makayla and Ammon and, his brother LaVor Hemmert (Arlene Hemmert), Brother-in-law Gene Johnson, Sister-in-laws Jennie Hemmert.



He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ida Hemmert, Edna LaGene, and Daughter Robyn LaJean Hemmert, Brothers Don Hemmert, Clyde Hemmert and Sister Arlene Johnson.



He was an active lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which he has served in many callings.



He graduated from Fielding High School in 1953 then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1958 to attend Barber College. He worked as a Barber at his MB Barber shop for more than 53 years. He enjoyed his lifetime of friends and customers and ran his shop until he was 75 years old.



He had a great love for his family, grandchildren, the gospel of Jesus Christ and the scriptures. He will be remembered for his many talents, kindness, love and good example of compassion. He also loved gardening, fishing and cookies, and would never turn down an opportunity to go camping. He will truly be missed.



Funeral services to be held on Saturday May 7, 2016 at the Jefferson Ward, 1883 South West Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115. Viewing 9:00 am. Funeral 10:00 am. Following the funeral He will be taken to Idaho for the graveside service which will be held at 3:00 pm in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery at 600 South Yellowstone Hwy, Idaho Falls Idaho.
