Larry Charles Robertson

4/18/45- 8/25/15

Larry Charles Robertson passed away August 25, 2015 at the home he loved. He was born April 18, 1945 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Mildred Robertson and raised by his grandmother Caroline Robertson. He attended Thurber Elementary, Rees Elementary,Spanish Fork Jr. High and graduated from Spanish Fork High School.

He married Myrna Peterson on December 29, 1980. They were sealed in 1992 in the Hawaiian LDS Temple. Married for 35 years they were each others best friend. He was the love of her life and she was his. He became a dad to three step-children, Malynda (Robert), Elizabeth and Nick (Jennie). He also had four children from a previous marriage, Mark, Vince (Jessie), Chad (Stacy) and Jill (Brian). Larry was a strong father and a loyal and caring husband.

Larry worked for P.D.M (Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel Company) as a welder for 13 years where he gained his skills as a welder. He then worked for the Boilermakers Welder Union #182 for the next 23 years. During that time he traveled to numerous states working on welding projects. He worked as a welder until his heart failed him in 2003.

After recovering from heart surgery, Larry retired from the Boilermakers. To keep himself occupied he started doing side welding jobs for friends and family. Larry loved helping others and enjoyed continuing his chosen craft. He also worked at Securitas as a security guard part-time in Salem. Larry's words of advice for anyone who would ask was " Get up early and work hard". Larry lived what he believed and was a great example to others. He was the definition of hard work and a man who always put others before himself.

Larry was life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved to BBQ, fish and travel. He loved working in his yard and was very proud of his bright green lawn. He also loved driving around town in his big black truck and visiting with friends. We want to thank all those who were a good friend to him over the years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Robertson, grandmother Caroline Robertson, his brother Jack Robertson, and sister Carolyn Boren. He is survived by his sister Claudine (CJ) Thompson and by his loving wife, Myrna, 3 step-children, 4 children, 23 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
