Larry Gene Roberts, 56, passed away on October 30, 2014 at his home in Pleasant Grove surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He was born on August 9, 1958 in Provo, Utah to Brenda Collings and Henner Roberts. His mother remarried and he was raised by his stepfather, Gary Winters. He graduated from high school and became a Union Ironworker. He worked constructing bridges, it was a job he loved and was passionate about. He married Terri Jenkins, later divorced and had three children.
Larry had a big heart and was a loyal friend to many. He was a devout Christian and had a strong faith. He loved to talk and tell stories. He was always reading and learning something new, if you had a question, he was the "go to man". He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and his Jeep. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother Brenda Winters, children; Jenny (Rob) Oliver and Daniel Roberts, siblings; Doug Winters and Carolyn Maughan, nine grandchildren, his partner of twenty years Deborah Evans and her children Russell, Amberlee and Willie whom he raised as his own. He was preceded in death by his father Henner Roberts, stepfather Gary Winters and son Jeremy Roberts.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Spanish Fork Palmyra Stake, 505 East 900 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. A luncheon will be served.
