Kenny Williams

October 2, 1940 — February 1, 2015

Kenny Joe Williams passed peacefully on February 1, 2015, at age 74 from complications of heart disease. Kenny was surrounded by loved ones in his last hours.



He was born on October 2, 1940 in Denver, Colorado to Otis Lee Williams Senior and Lillie Mea Young Williams Parsons. He married the love of his life Dorleen Marie Moore Williams on April 22, 1961 in Provo Utah. They had a wonderful 54 years together.



Kenny worked at Geneva Steel for 23 years. He also served as the president of the fraternal order of Eagles. Kenny loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. He also loved spending time with family and friends. Kenny enjoyed spending time at Oaker Hills, where he and Dot created a home for themselves for the last twenty years.



He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Otis Lee Williams junior. He is survived by his wife, Dorleen Marie Moore Williams, his sisters Cletha May Williams Bright, Francis Parson Vail, Carol Jean Parson Wittenbach, and Linda Williams (Lee- deceased). His children Brenda (Stan) Hallam Salem Utah, Shawn (Vickie) Williams Pleasant Grove Utah, Michael (Christy) Williams Mapleton Utah, and Judy (Kevin) Smith Kent Washington. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.



Upon Kenny's request he will be cremated. The family and friends will hold a celebration of his life at Oaker Hills at a date to be announced later.



The family would like to thank the staff of Life Choices hospice for the wonderful, loving way they took care of our husband and dad. We appreciate each one of you.



We children would also like to send a loving thanks to our Mom for all the work she has done throughout Dad's life. Without her tireless efforts Dad would not have lived as long and full life as he did. We love you Mom ,Thanks.
