Kathlene H. Norton, known as Katie, passed away on June 19, 2024, due to complications of pneumonia. Born on September 8, 1974, Katie embraced life with enthusiasm and joy, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Katie was known for her active lifestyle. She had a passion for soccer, rollerblading, hiking, and biking, always finding new ways to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. As a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she lived her life with faith and service.
Her greatest joy in life was being a mother. Katie found immense happiness in raising her children and encouraging them to explore the world around them. She was a fun and adventurous mom, often seen leading her children on bike rides, exploring nature, and finding worms in the dirt. Katie's zest for life and encouragement of adventure left her children with countless cherished memories.
Katie had an incredible ability to see the best in people. She was known for her kind words and compliments, brightening the days of both friends and strangers. Her warmth and positivity made her loved by everyone who met her.
Katie is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Oak Norton III, and her beloved children: Savanna (29), Willow (24), Holly (21), and Oak IV (17). She is preceded in passing by her daughter Aspen, who passed away in May 2024.
Katie's legacy of love, adventure, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 11 am, with a viewing preceding it from 9:00-10:30 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meetinghouse located at 6050 Chapel Drive, Highland, UT.
