Kathleen (Kae) Larsen Rowland, age 71, passed away in her home on October 19, 2015 with her family by her side.
Kae was born March 24, 1944 to Virginia Saxey and Charles Richard Larsen in Oakland, California. She grew up in Utah where she was the oldest sister to four brothers. She married her husband Gary Rowland fifty-four years ago on August 14, 1961.
For twenty-three years Kae worked at UVRMC. She worked as a unit secretary on the fourth floor, in the emergency room and in the outpatient lab.
Kae was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities. Her interests included shopping and interior decorating. She loved trying new recipes and frequently had dinner parties at her house. She was active and loved to travel. For many years she had a home in St. George where her friends and family enjoyed visiting her. Her passion was her family, especially her nine grandchildren Thomas, Peter, Nathan, Hannah, Jaycee, Garett, Kelli Eden, Maycee and Landon.
She is survived by her husband Gary Rowland and three daughters Laura (Kelley) Rowley of Oswego, NY, Lianna (Jason) Taylor of Spanish Fork, UT and Elisabeth (Devin) Worthen of Salem, UT as well as her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Rowland.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 N. 800 E. Orem, Utah. There will be a celebration in her honor at Heritage Village Clubhouse, 1141 West 1150 South, Payson, Utah following the graveside services.
