Our daughter, Joy Johnson, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Tues, April 28, 2020 following a tragic car accident the previous evening.
Joy was born in Tooele, Utah on August 31, 1997 to her parents Gregory R. Johnson and Fe Corazon Basconcillo Johnson. Joy was raised in Tooele, Utah and following her graduation from Tooele High School, attended Salt Lake Community College and Southern Utah University.
Joy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joy was blessed with a bubbly personality, was non-judgmental of others, and sought every opportunity to serve and bless those around her. Joy was beloved by all who know her. She was very bright and capable and an accomplished violinist who blessed others through her love of music. Joy was also a devoted and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. At the time of her passing, she was employed as a call center representative at the Sykes Provo Office in support of Capital One customers.
Survived by her parents Gregory R. Johnson and Fe Corazon Basconcillo Johnson, her sister Linda Fay Johnson Cameron and brother-in-law Kyle Cameron who reside in Spanish Fork, Utah, and her brother Russell Anthony Johnson and Jenni Reynolds Johnson who reside in Layton, Utah, her nieces Penelope Cameron and Clair Johnson, and her nephews Ethan Johnson and Connor Cameron.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Legacy Funerals and Cremations at 3595 N Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. A family prayer will be held at 10:45 a.m. following which the funeral service will be held. Social distancing will be in effect for viewing in which a limited amount of visitors will be permitted due to COVID-19. The funeral service will be streamed on the internet for the benefit of those who wish to participate in a virtual setting. Go to your own Facebook page and then search Legacy Funerals & Cremations. Following the funeral service, Joy will be interred at the Spanish Fork Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, cash donations are preferred for the purpose of Joy's memorial.
