John Chester Tripp, age 72, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2014 of cancer at the home of a friend in Alpine, UT.
John was born on January 4, 1942 in LaMesa, CA to parents Enoch LeRoy Tripp and Anna Lundin Tripp. At age 3 he moved with the family to Cochranton, PA. He enjoyed living on the farm. When he was 14 he moved to Heber City, UT. Where he got acquainted with all his cousins. He also grew to love the mountains and found peace and solitude there. He graduated from Wasatch High School and soon after was drafted into the Army. He served his country for 4 years and got to see many countries on his tour of duty. He owned a cement company in Reno, NV for many years and the last 15 years of his life he was a cement contractor. John will be remembered for his hard work ethic, honesty, his many acts of kindness and generosity to those who needed it. He will be missed greatly by all who new him and loved him.
He is survived by sons; Randy Tripp and Collin Tripp; Sisters, Sylvia (Steven)Dayton of Springville, Kathleen Petersen of Cheyenne, WY, Darlene (Ed) Arledge of Valley Center, CA, Julia (Bill) Vaught of Murfresboro, TN; Nieces and Nephews, Deborah Jones, Evelyn Hashlamaun, Brett Emmett, Kevin Dayton, Kraig Dayton, Bradly Dayton, Dennis Dayton, Devon Petersen, Angie Hart, Amy Hart and Jordan Konkol.
John was preceded in death by parents Enoch and Anna Tripp; Sister, Gloria Emmett; Nieces, Denice Diamond and Bonnie Emmett.
Graveside services will be held in the Heber City Cemetery at a later date.
