John Andrew Jensen

December 10, 1966 — July 7, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, son, father, grandfather and uncle John Andrew Jensen, son of the late Steven Neils Jensen and Constance Sue Lux Jensen.

John was born in Sacramento California and later moved to Utah to be raised in Payson Utah. John leaves behind 1 son, Andrew(Misty)Jensen and 3 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins, Sisters: Judy(Stephen)Lee, late Jeffery Jensen, Jennie Jensen, Jessie(Aaron)Applegate.

John graduated from Payson High School and graduated the LDS Seminary class there. Growing up, John was an active member in the LDS church and was involved in the Boy Scouts of America. John had a passion for lock smithing and excelled in this trade for a majority of his life. Growing up in the 70's and 80's John had some great memories some of which were roller skating, sledding on the hill at Peteetneet school, sledding down Payson canyon with his dad and siblings, playing night games with the neighbors, riding bikes with his siblings in the unfinished basement of his childhood home and out in the neighborhood.

John had a love for old vehicles and never drove any newer models throughout his life. He never got the hang of new technology and always used his brains for everything instead of relying on technology. John's personality was funny with quick comebacks, he loved making others laugh. John was filled with so much love and was never unkind to anyone, he would give the shirt off of his back to anyone. John had a gentle soul and everyone who knew him could feel his light.

One of John's main hobbies was collecting Hotwheel items which started 35 years ago and continued up to his passing. John's favorite past time was being in the mountains camping, fishing, bbqing, and enjoying nature and peace and quiet from the city. We are comforted in knowing that John had one last bonfire in the mountains just hours before his passing. John will be missed by so many and his legacy will live on forever. We are so grateful for the plan of salvation. Rest in peace dear brother, may God be with you until we meet again.

Our Family would like to Thank Tanner Glass & Hardware for taking such good care of our brother throughout the last 20+ years and making him feel like part of the Tanner family.

On Sunday, July 21st, 2024 a celebration of life will be held in his honor at Canyon View Park at 3300 E. Powerhouse Road, Spanish Fork UT. It will be from 12pm-2pm at the Lion pavilion.
