Jesse L. Stubbs

06/23/1945 - 07/13/202

Our Dear Sweet Daddy, Loving Sweetheart, Caring Grandfather, Dear Brother, helpful friend & neighbor Jesse L. Stubbs, passed from this earthly life July 13, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 76.

Jesse was born June 23, 1945 to Alfred Dunn Stubbs Jr. & Margaret L. Stubbs in Provo, Utah. He was raised in Provo and graduated from Provo High School where he excelled in both football and wrestling. Dad had a love for the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing & hunting, deer, elk, pheasant, duck, or rabbits, with his brother and best friend Don Stubbs, his sons, grandchildren, and his dogs, Princess, Rebel, & Ringo.

He was a member of the National Sporting Clay Association and enjoyed traveling the Rocky Mountain West participating in numerous competitions. He often placed 1st and was so proud to have his success published in their magazines.

Daddy had "working man's hands" as he was a very hard worker even from the time of his youth. He worked construction and eventually settled into his career as a welder with PDM in Provo, Utah where he retired after 31 years of hard work.

He enjoyed music, dancing, laughing, and always loved a good joke! As one granddaughter stated "If there's one word to describe grandpa it would be Jolly!"

He was a GREAT conversationalist and loved to share his knowledge with family, friends, or whoever would listen!

After graduation he married Kathy Boren. Together they had 1 daughter Dana before they went their separate ways.

He later reunited with his childhood sweetheart Carolyn Sue Rockwell. They met at the age of 14 and dated until Carolyn's family moved from the area. When she returned to the area they reconnected and were married in August 1967. Carolyn had two daughters Brenda & Shelly and together they had 4 children, Jessica, Jackie, Travis & Patrick. They later divorced.

He then met Ruby M. Bohrer and they were married in September 1980 and were married until her passing in July of 2016. Ruby brought to the marriage 1 daughter LaRenda. They resided in Payson, Utah where they raised their family which included their grandchildren Christopher, Chawntae, & Jessica. Jesse was papa to them and they loved him with all of their hearts.

After a year of what he called his "Mourning Period", and unbeknownst to his children, he once again reconnected with his first love Carolyn Rockwell. They remained companions to the end.

One of the last things that he said was to make sure we tell all of his grandkids that, "Grandpa loves them."

Daddy - Brother - Grandpa - Love - Friend, we love you oh so very much. Your leaving us and returning to heaven will no doubt leave a void that no one else can ever fill but we are grateful for the knowledge that one day we will all be reunited. We will miss your hearty laughter, awesome hugs, phone calls and texts just to say "Love You Sweetheart", your goofy faces, and our long conversations. Good Bye For Now Doims a doims.
