Jayson J Miller Obituary (1978 - 2016)

Jayson J. Miller 1978 - 2016 Our loving father, son, brother and friend Jayson J. Miller, 38 left this earth on September 30, 2016. He's finally free from all his pain and suffering. Jayson was born July 15, 1978 to Jim and Khris Miller of Springville. He graduated from Springville High in 1996. He worked as a journeyman electrician over 15 years wiring many homes including building his own custom home for his family. In 1982 Jayson's brother Tyson was born. They became very close and grew up causing lots of trouble together, including throwing knifes at each other and such. Jayson was very active growing up, he earned his brown belt in karate, and loved to play soccer. In 1995 as a junior, he met Haley Jex, his high school sweetheart and future wife, they were married July 31, 1999, they later divorced in 2012. In 2002 his beautiful daughter Gracie Michelle Miller was born. They moved into their new home in 2003 in Spanish Fork. In August 2004 Jayson was in a plane wreck, an event that changed his life forever. His injuries caused chronic pain which he struggled with the remainder of his life. In 2006 his daughter Hadlie Khristina Miller was born, their family was complete. Jayson was a loving and devoted dad to this two beautiful daughters. They were the light of his life! He was active in their everyday life, he loved braiding their hair, working on school projects, playing games (especially video games), bike rides, watching movies and reading bedtime stories. There is nothing he would not let his girls do to him including make up, nails, tea parties and dress up, that's just the kind of dad he was. Some thoughts and memories from his girls are that dad loved to play pool with them and Grandpa Jim in the garage, was avid music fan and listened to everything from Don Williams to Pearl Jam. He attended close to 100 concerts in his lifetime. He was a handyman and could fix anything. Loved woodworking, built furniture for his home. He loved playing poker and built a huge poker table that provided many nights of fun in the Miller basement. It also served as a jumping platform for the girls and their friends to jump onto the love sac's. He was very artistic and painted a mural of lion king under the stairway for his girls playhouse. He also loved to cook, be it BBQ on the grill or banana pancakes on Christmas morning for all his extended family. Jayson loved fly fishing, tying his own flies. He had a special room in basement devoted just to that. He spent many hours on the Provo and Green River. He loved hunting with his brother, grandpa and uncles. He hunted ducks, pheasants, deer, elk, wild boar, mountain lions, bears and antelope. He loved anything outdoors especially camping riding 4 wheelers, shooting his bow, spending time with his family at his favorite place Schofield. So many good memories were made there including chasing bears on 4 wheelers with Gracie at 5 years old and sitting in the tree stand feeding squirrels from their hands. They spent many hours on the bag swing...putting Hadlie to sleep when she wasn't eating dirt. He loved being an uncle to his two beautiful nieces Brylee and Harlee and treated them like his own. They recently all went on vacation to Disneyland and enjoyed spending that time together. In the past few years Jayson has dated and lived with his girlfriend Kristy Cook who he cared for very much. Jayson you are loved by everyone that knew you and a wonderful Son Brother dad..Love you Hun!!. Will miss you more then you can ever know! Jayson is survived by his mom Khristina Miller, his daughters Gracie and Hadlie Miller, his brother Tyson (Lacey) Miller, his nieces Brylee and Harlee Miller, grandparents Edward and Gena Harness, Dixie Miller Cunnington (Bill) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father James J. Miller, grandpa S. Wayne Miller, uncle Gregg Miller and uncle LeRoy Miller, brother-in-law Cory Jex. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
