James Ronald Nelson, 31, passed away Saturday January 25, 2020 in Akron Ohio. He was born on December 20, 1988 in Orem, Utah to Brian Nelson and Lori Jackson. At the age of 13 James and his family left Utah and moved to Ohio where he graduated from Copley High School. James loved Ohio and considered it his home.
James loved playing games with his family. He also loved the outdoors and had a great sense of adventure. His brothers describe him as a fearless daredevil. James loved his brothers deeply. He had a kind and caring nature about him and thought of others first. He easily saw the good in others. James touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his Fiancee Emily Loew (Carter 4), son Oliver 4, parents Brian Nelson and Lori (Scott) Jackson, siblings Daniel 33, Michael 28, Kevin 26, Scottie 17, Ryan 12, Jayden 10, Travis 9, Thomas 8, Luke 6, Nate 6, Rebecca 6, grandmothers Betty Glenn and Sharon Nelson, aunts, uncles and many cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Ronald Glenn and Paul Nelson, Aunt Kathy and cousin Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2020 at 3:00 pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Nephi 2nd Ward Chapel, 222 S 100 E, Nephi, UT. Interment will follow at Nephi City Cemetery.
