Jim was born December 27, 1950 in Seattle Washington and passed away on June 21, 2015 in Salt Lake from complications after undergoing open heart surgery.
After Jim's birth, his family resided in Great Falls and then later in Billings, Montana. Jim had a very diversified and satisfying life with many different careers. Jim graduation from Charles M. Russell High School in Great Falls in 1969 and then attended the University of Montana and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in 1973. While attending U of M Jim was a member of the ROTC and after graduation Jim was a commissioned officer for the United States Navy. Jim was a Navy Pilot until he had to leave the service in 1975 due to health issues. Jim also attended Graduate School at Eastern Montana College in Billings during the years of 1974 - 1986. A different career was calling, so Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University in 1990. Jim has done many things with his nursing degree from working with the State of Montana, a Health Facility Administrator, Director of Nursing and Safety & Risk Manager as Traveler Staff. Jim was dedicated to the Shriners for many years, was in the Black Horse Patrol in Billings and served on the Shrine Board of Governors for 6 years. Jim was most recently working as a per-diem nurse at Madison Valley Medical Center.
Jim is leaving behind many that loved him and was surrounded by their love at the time of his death. He leaves behind his wife, Janine Gillan Clavadetscher of Ennis, Son Jerred (Amanda) of Wyoming, Daughter Kristin Hyndman of Billings and Son Keil Clavadetscher (Jessi) of Laurel from a previous marriage. Jim's life was blessed with grandchildren Andrew, Eli, Brendin, Karly, Layne, Bridger, Mitchell, Jackson and Grant. Jim is also survived by his brother, Carl J. Clavadetscher of South Carolina. He is also survived by his Mother-In-Law, Mary Lou Gillan, Brother-In-Law, Mike Gillan and Sister-In-Law, Kathy Jo Gillan.
Jim and his wife, Janine enjoyed many things together, particularly camping, fishing and traveling. Jim remained a rabid Griz fan - GO GRIZ!
Jim is preceded in death by his Father, Carl J Clavadetscher, his Mother, Madeline L. Clavadetscher, brother, John Clavadetscher and his Father-In-Law, Gene Gillan.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in both Ennis and Billings. The family wishes for donations in lieu of flowers to the following, Shrine Hospital of Spokane, Washington, Madison Valley Hospital of Ennis, Montana and The American Heart Association.
