Isaac "Maarius" Albert Dennis was born on Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington, on February 11, 1980. He passed away in his home in Pleasant Grove, Utah, January 13, 2023, at the age of 42.
The majority of his life was spent in Utah County, Utah but, in the later years, his heart lived in Hawaii. He loved the "island life"; surfing, enjoying the beach and being close to the water.
Isaac was a camera-man for KSL news, where he worked for several years, before becoming a photographer-reporter for the Uinta County Herald, in Evanston, Wyoming.
Isaac, who was a talented artist, loved drawing, photography and music. He found his final vocation by combining his love of artwork with tattooing, eventually becoming a licensed tattoo artist.
While visiting Hawaii, Isaac finally discovered his true place in life. Though he returned to Utah for a while, he eventually moved to "the Big Island", where he worked at his tattoo art, perfecting his skills and finding a new home; on a surfboard. Even though Isaac eventually moved back to the "mainland", his heart yearned to be on the beach, surfing and watching the sun set over the ocean.
Isaac was preceded in death by his beloved "Grandpa Jack", Grandma Baumgarten and his Grandpa and Grandma Dennis. He is survived by his daughter, Lilyan Belle Dennis, of Eagle Mountain, Utah, his father, Tim (Nanci) Dennis, of Manti, Utah, mother, Mary (Steve) Widmer, of Ephraim, Utah, his brothers, Jedediah (Amy) Kane, of Norton, Kansas, & Tyler (Amber) Dennis, of Laie, Hawaii, and 8 half- brothers/sisters.
There will be a private, family and close friends, "Celebration of Life" in Ephraim, Utah, before he returns to his beloved Hawaii.
