Inez Parkinson
January 10, 1927 — May 9, 2014
Inez Amelia Parrish/Parkinson passed away Friday May 9 at 7:30 P.M. She passed in the arms of her daughter and son in law so she was not alone . Four children live on Mikkel Arden Mikkelson and his wife Okcha and their 3 children and grandchildren. Laura Ellen and her husband John O'Sullivan and their 2 children. Ladonna Elaine and her husband Don Troutman. Kristina Inez and her husband Pete Casanova.
Inez was adopted to Edward and Flora Parrish as an infant and was raised at a very difficult period of time in history in northwestern Nebraska. She survived the The Great Depression and the terrible 1930s drought that ravaged the Midwest. She married Arden L. Mikkelson in the 1940s and had five children which Norman was the first but died 20 years ago. Through all the strife in her 87 years she always had a deep faith in God . I know she is with Him now.
I'll Sail Away
Someday I'll sail far away
Leaving the things of man
And find that peace that my soul seeks
In a calm and restful land.
I weary of the roads I tread
And the burdens that I bear
I long for quiet and gentle peace
Where there are no more cares.
And when I find that place of dreams
I'll never leave it's shores
but stay forever in its realm
And shut all earthly doors.
I will be home and those I've known
Will greet me one by one
For this will be my place of rest
When the life I've spent is done.
