Gregory Phillip Barron
January 11, 1951 - December 27, 2016
Provo, UT - Greg passed away early in the morning of the 27th. His passing was unexpected, but not surprising. He will be remembered by all who knew and worked with him over his years as someone far more often than not possessing a cheerful and welcoming nature, and as someone who never shied away from working to the best of his ability at any tasks asked of him. Many thanks and much gratitude is extended to all who had influence in his life from the mid 1950s through and including his final day. Especially, thanks and gratitude is extended to the staff at Utah Valley Rehab and Healthcare of Provo, who offered Greg the needed support he required when personal life events took away many, but not all, of his freedoms and pleasures, and to Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services for their care and thoroughness in helping to light the way towards Greg's final disposition. Thanks and gratitude is also extended to those people working to provide services for the handicapped, of which Greg was one, in the State of Utah and the Federal Government through Medicaid and Social Security, as well as private support agencies who work in conjunction with those governmental services for and in behalf of handicapped individuals.
Greg is survived by his brother John Barron (Julie); also nephew Ben Barron (Jennifer) and their children Melanie, Noah, and Jasmyn, as well as niece Mindy Nunes (Alex) and their children Joshua, Rebecca, and James, and also niece Kathryn Barron. Greg also has cousins living in Maine. Greg was preceded in passing by his parents John Gregory Barron (1997) and Hazel I. Cosma (2002).
There will be a grave side service at a location and date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers and other such sentiments, please consider writing your elected representative for increased financial support for those living amongst us having disabilities and handicaps.
