George Kelly

George Spafford Kelly enlightened our lives beginning April 29, 1933. He went back home to his loving Heavenly Father on January 17, 2014 greeted by his family; daughter: Mary Ann; parents: Paul and Mary Kelly and his siblings; Jay, Marie, Pauline and Joan.



George was born and raised in Springville, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a masters degree in changing lives through education and compassion.



George dedicated over 30 years to teaching at Scera Park Elementary School, and loved almost every second of it. To George, everyday was an opportunity to learn something new, and in turn, teach along the way. He was an amazing teacher of life.



George's legacy lives on through the love of his life, his wife and best friend of 61 years, Janis Young Kelly. George and Jan created a beautiful family, including their six children; Crista Story (Rick), Michael Kelly (Denise), Susan Kelly, Maryann Kelly, Paul Kelly (Candi) and Karen Kelly. We are truly honored to call him our Dad. Grandpa George was adored by his 21 grandkids and 40 plus great grandkids.



We will be celebrating George's life adventures on January 22nd and 23rd at the Benjamin LDS church located at 3238 W 7300 S, Benjamin, UT 84660. A Reception will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday morning from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm. The celebration of his life will begin at 1:00 pm.
