Gay Annette Harper chose to leave this life on Feb 12th 2015. She was born August 7th 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kimball and Caroline Harper. She married Hernan Aristizabal at the age of 23; they were later divorced but remained close friends. They had one son, Dayne Aristizabal, who was her pride and joy. She has two brothers, James and Steven Harper and three sisters, Ruth Long, Denise Adams and Karla Allan. She was the favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews who all adored her, as well as two great nieces who called her "Grandma Gay". Gay loved children and animals and they always gravitated to her. Although she had only one child she was considered a second mother to many.
She graduated from USU with a Bachelors degree in English. She was an exceptional poet and artist with several published poems. She loved boating, camping, scrap booking, photography and being outdoors. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always found a way to make everyone laugh. She had a great heart and a sense of loyalty to all fortunate enough to be her friend and family. She was welcomed home by her beloved nephew Tyrel Long, and father Kimball.
