Florrie Susan Decker, age 58, passed away on January 22, 2020 in her Springville, Utah home. She was born June 15, 1961 in Torrance, California and was the youngest of 6 children born to DeVearl and Doreen (Fosmo) Decker. Florrie grew up in southern California, graduating from Newbury Park High School in 1979.
Florrie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she loved animals of all kinds, rescuing and caring for abandoned and hurt animals as well as raising and breeding Chihuahuas.
Florrie was preceded in death by her mother, Doreen Decker, brother Erin Decker, her infant 4 month old son, Douglas Scott Decker, brother-in-law Eldon Payne, and sister-in-law Dorene (Boomhower) Decker.
She is survived by her father, DeVearl Decker, brothers Allen (Lana) Decker, Bruce (Charisse) Decker, Curtis (Victoria) Decker, sister Debbie Payne and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her Blue and Gold Macaws, Airplane, and 2 Chihuahuas, Max and Citrus.
A memorial Open House will be held at the Hobble Creek 3rd Ward, 555 Averett Ave., Springville, Utah on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
