Fausta De Flores

Fausta Bonilla Rangel De Flores passed away peacefully and returned to her Heavenly Father at her home in West Valley City, UT. She passed away on Saturday May 21, 2016, at the age of 83 from complications of multiple diseases.



Fausta was born Sep 15, 1933, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Anastacio Bonilla and Vidal Rangel. Her mother and father passed away when she was young. At the age of nine, she was put under the care of her aunts and had to begin working at an early age. Fausta lived in San Luis Potosi until she was about 18 and then move to Veracruz, Mexico. While living in Veracruz, she married Juan Onesimo Flores and had nine children. Due to work relocation for her husband's job, the family later moved to Puebla, Mexico where Fausta lived for twenty-five years before relocating to Salt Lake City.



She is survived by four of her sons and their families: Pay Flores and his wife Elizabeth, children Lauren, Devin, and Ezra; Quitin Flores and his wife Olivia, children Nelson, Maria Rene, and Elizabeth, along with great-grandchildren; Juan Carlos Flores and his wife Leticia, children Juan Carlos Jr. and Kassandra Flores, along with their spouses and great-grandchildren; Merari Flores and his wife Anita, children Julian, Benjamin, Joshua, and Sofia Milagros (who Fausta knew for only nine months, but loved dearly). She is also survived by grandson Uri, who she raised as a son and his family. Preceding her in death are her parents and five of her children; Marta, Julian, Rafael, Salvador, and Monica.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 28th, 2016 at the LDS Chapel at 2811 South 6400 West, West Valley City, UT. A viewing will be held at 10:00 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am.
