Eva passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 2, 2013. She was a very loving and dear wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Her great legacy will be her tireless devotion to her family demonstrated by countless acts of loving service, willingly offered even at the expense of her own comfort. Her children could not have been blessed with a more lovely mother. She will also be remembered for her incredible work ethic, working for the Calumet City and Lansing Illinois school districts through the age of 82. Eva was active in her community serving in many capacities in the school PTA while her children were in school. She was known as the "fun" mom on the block and always enjoyed telling a joke to make others laugh and relax. She definitely was a people-person and would always make an effort to meet new people where she quickly became friends. She was born in her parents home in Hammond Indiana on September 6, 1930; the daughter of two Yugoslavian immigrants Stanley and Dana Stepancevich. She married Jack Todd in the Methodist church in Indiana and together they raised their five children in a loving home filled with her rich Serbian traditions and heritage. She is preceded in death and is now reunited with her husband Jack. She is survived by her sons Mike, Paul, Mark, Gary and daughter Karen, her sister Mary, thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
