Emma Del Banks Larsen, 80, died in her home in Spanish Fork September 4, 2014 from natural causes.\n\nEmma was born on February 18, 1934 in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was the daughter of Rodney William and Mabel Stark Banks. She met her husband, Paul Burgis Larsen, when Marlene Nielsen, a friend, set them up on a date. A short two months later they were married, enjoying 54 years together. They loved spending time with their four children working, camping, boating and traveling.\n\nEmma graduated from Spanish Fork High School and attended Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught school for 25 years in many different assignments, including home economics, english and TLC (technology, life and careers). She loved working with people and made friends where ever she went. She sat on the library board, worked as a Pink Lady, was a member of the Quilting Guild and a member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers.\n\nEmma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. She served in many callings including Young Women's President, Primary Chorister, and\n\nSunday School Teacher. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, sewing, handcrafts, shopping and her grandchildren.\n\nShe is survived by her children, Penny (Sosiua) Vaitohi, Julie (Lance) Ludlow, Lori Nielsen and Mark (Stephanie) Larsen, fifteen grandchildren and one great grand child. She was proceeded in death by her husband and parents.\n\nFuneral Services will be Monday, September 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork 3rd Ward Chapel, 550 West 400 North. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. under the direction of Legacy Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork, Utah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Primary Children's Medical Center.
