Dick L. Rozema, 65, of Benjamin, Utah passed away suddenly from an aortic aneurysm on October 2, 2014. Dick was born July 17, 1949 in Wheatland, WY to Don and Bessie Rozema. He attended Jordan High School in Sandy, UT and graduated in 1967. He married Dixie Workman in 1970, and they raised their family in Springville, UT.
Dick worked many years for Standard Builders Supply in Salt Lake and Provo. He then became owner of Standard Door Supply. For the last ten years, he was employed by Century Equipment in Spanish Fork, UT. He loved his work.
He was devout in his Christian faith, following the teachings of Jesus.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of 44 years, five children: Dikilyn (Daran) Tyson, Dawn (Scott) Geyer, Dallen (Janell) Rozema, Darla (Humberto) Ochoa, and Daisha (Scott) Anderson, as well as 18 grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Dori and Phyllis, and four brothers, Ron, Vernon, Keith and Loren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Utah Valley Convention Center: 220 W. Center in Provo. Visitation from 2:00-4:30 p.m., with the funeral immediately following. A supper will be held by friends and neighbors at 6:30 p.m. at the LDS Church in Lake Shore, for all who can attend. An RSVP to the dinner would be appreciated. You can text Dallen at 801-369-3448.
