David Thornburg

On June 10, 2018 David Keith Thornburg was called home to sing in the choir of angels. Dave was born on January 1, 1967 in Sacramento California, and passed away at the age of 51 after a short but hard fought battle with cancer in Provo, Utah.



Dave loved to be outdoors, no matter the activity; if it was fishing, camping, playing with the dogs, or just spending time with family and friends, he was happy. If he wasn't outside, he loved to be on the road in his semi. He drove a truck for 30 years and loved every moment of it. He had a passion for being out on the open road and being the biggest thing out there. Dave loved to sing, but loved his hymns the most.



He is survived by his wife Darlene Thornburg, his son Daniel (Scharee) Newingham and their two daughters Azriele(9) and Gemma(3); his daughter Beatrice Newingham and her children Josephine(2) and Scott(1); his step-sons Alex Bair(20) and Caleb Nations(15). He is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Ernest Costa, Bethalena and Shawn Yarger and Denise Barnhart, and his sister Junna Mae Sullivan, and numerous friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.



Dave's family wants to thank the 7th floor nursing staff of Utah Valley Hospital for all of their care and support during his multiple stays there.
