David Lewis

David McKelvey Lewis, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on September 8, 2020, at his home in Salem, UT at the age of 74.



David was born on March 16, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, to Donald M. and Georgia Lewis. David lived in Steubenville until the age of 15 then moved to Salina, Utah, to live with a missionary friend and complete high school. He loved working on their ranch. After he graduated, he moved to Salt Lake City and then to Springville. David worked for Allen's Drug in Springville and Provo for 32 years.



David married Connie M Paskett on June 27, 1975. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, their marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple. The couple made their home in Springville, Mapleton and then Salem.



David enjoyed music and loved to sing Elvis Presley songs. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. David was at his happiest taking trips with his wife on his motorcycle.



David is survived by his wife, Connie M (Paskett) of Salem UT. 4 sons including; Kenneth (Deb) of San Antonio, TX, Bruce (Kim) of Salem, UT, Brent (Malynda) of Santaquin, UT, and Kevin of Spanish Fork, UT. 2 sisters: Cheri (Larry) Johnson and Mary (Monroe) Grubbs, both of Green River, WY and 1 brother, James Lewis of Springville, UT. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.



David was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, and a granddaughter.



On behalf of David and his family, we would like to acknowledge, with sincere appreciation, Canyon Home Health and Hospice along with his caretakers; Nurse Camille and CNA's Amanda and Bailey, for the exceptional care he received.



Graveside services will be held Monday, September 14, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Salem Cemetery (965 S. 140 E. Salem, UT 84653). All Family and Friends are invited to attend.
