Daniel Ted Trujillo, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, lover and friend departed this earth and returned to our heavenly father in the early hours on July 12, 2013.
Danny was born on October 11, 1965 in Price, Utah to Eduardo and Alice Trujillo. He grew up and spent most of his life in Utah. Friends and family knew him for his passion for his Utah Jazz and beloved Denver Broncos.
Danny always had a kind word to share. He loved to joke and had a heart of gold, never asking for anything he didn't earn. Dan's ever-youthful optimism was infectious. When facing his biggest hurdles, he always sought to find out if he could help others before himself.
A born-again Christian, the Lord helped Danny find strength. Danny's joy was reflected in his faith. More importantly, the power he got from reading the Bible helped him to share his faith with others. Danny enjoyed and cherished the time he spent with his children. Through his faith he continued to live for them, and loved them dearly.
One of Danny's biggest passions was boxing. He grew up a Golden Gloves boxer, and was dedicated to being the best in addition to bringing out the best in others. He was a champion of the underdog even though he was an underdog himself. He wanted everyone to know they had a right to stand up for themselves, and fight back. Whether he was in the gym or on the street, Danny offered an insight to boxing for anyone fortunate enough to come his way.
Danny will be deeply missed and is survived by his mother and father; siblings, Debbie (Mike); Valerie (Glen); Michael (Andrea); Amber and Robert. He is also survived by his children; Dietre (Josh); Robert, Ruth (Marvin); Jaccenta (Andrew), Daniel (Nicolle), Victor (Makelle) and Charita along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and grandchildren. He is also survived by his love, Zeresh, and his running mate Pookie.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Kingdom Life Ministries, 222 West 1300 South, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held from 6-8p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 with an additional viewing at 11:00a.m. prior to services on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to his church, Kingdom Life Ministries in Danny's name. Kingdom Life helped Danny to find his way, and it would be Danny's wish that they continue to receive resources to help the less fortunate.
