On the morning of Sunday February 15, 2015 Cody's life was tragically cut short in his home town of Provo, Utah. He was 24 years of age.
Cody was born October 9, 1990 in Provo, Utah to Laura Lindsay and Gerald Evans. He married Joana Evans on June 7. 2011 at the age of 20. They had one son, Dylan Evans and two daughters Kodie Evans and Alessandra Evans who were his pride and joy.
Cody enjoyed many things in life, mainly spending time with his family and his three children. He loved being outdoors camping, fishing, playing video games and driving his truck around. Cody's brother said that he was one of the best skaters and loved spending time with him. They would go to the gym or play basketball with their other brothers. He loved his moms homemade meals. He loved to get together on any occasion and have a BBQ. His brother said "He loved playing or talking about games. He liked talking about new games or games he beat and give pointers on how to beat a game". He loved spending time with his son and his princesses, playing video games, going to the arcade, throwing the football around, watching tv shows, going for rides, building, coloring. He enjoyed fishing with his brother in law and his brothers and stepdad and even when they didn't catch anything they had great times together. Cody was the life of the house, every room he walked into he lit up. He was always the go to person with any question; he always had the answers. He was an extraordinary person with so much to offer, he loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He had so much compassion, love, friendliness, patience. Cody was an amazing father, he was everyone's friend, he will be deeply missed.
Cody is survived by his wife Joana Evans, son Dylan Jeremy Evans, 3, daughters, Kodie Joyce Evans, 1, Alessandra Jane Evans, 3 months. Brothers William Crocker, Michael Kalchbrenner, Glenn Bourque, Nick Evans, Amassa Aj Lyman, sisters Bobbidee Kalchbrenner, Jozie Riley and Chantelle Evans. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 464 West 3700 North, Provo, UT. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11 AM prior to services at the church.
