Christopher Mark Ward

December 10, 1979 - October 4, 2021

Christopher Mark Ward was born December 10, 1979 to Kenneth Mark Ward & Sharon Leavitt in American Fork, Utah. He attended early elementary school in Las Vegas, NV and later moved back to American Fork to finish elementary school. He later graduated from High School in Gunnison, Utah. At some point he became a certified welder.

Chris was always there for his mother when needed. He called her often and checked up on her, to make sure she was okay. He was considerate, loving and a good friend to all who knew him. Many friends have expressed their feelings of gratitude towards Chris. Stating that he helped me when I needed it or he saved my life. He was a carefree spirit who completed things in his own timeframe. He was a big tease/prankster and a tinkerer. He loved to know how things worked and began taking things apart at a very early age to figure out how they worked. He became a "Jack of all trades" and a master of none. He loved to build things and modify/improve upon things. He loved his family with all of his heart. He often took his youngest sister Shandalyn on dates as she called him on the phone frequently. This love extended to friends as well.

"To die is to live. To avoid death, is to avoid living."

Chris was taken unexpectedly from this earth much too soon but is having a joyous reunion with his father and other family members in heaven.

"And sometimes that death is more than unexpected. A mother shouldn't live longer than her child, and a child needs their parent to be here well into their adult years. The world has lost a man much too soon. He is survived by his 3 beautiful children Banner (21), Trevor (16) and Brinna (14), his mother, Sharon Leavitt, sisters Mandie Ward and Shandalyn Leavitt, grandparents, many cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father K. Mark Ward, grandparents, Grandma Betty Ward, Grandpa Ray Leavitt, uncle Dave Ward and cousin Shaun Walker.
