Charlotte Lofgreen

March 4, 1929 — August 22, 2019

Schone Charlotte Hedwig Irene Lofgreen, 90, passed away August 22. 2019 peacefully in her home. She was a loving wife of 57 years to Von Grant Lofgreen. She was born on March 4, 1929 in Ratibor, Schlesien, Germany and her parents were Maximillion Josef Jelitto and Herta Johanna Neumann.



She lived in her home for over 50 years, raising her four daughters. Three of the girls were triplets. The first daughter was 17 months older. She was a nurturing, caring stay-at-home mom. Her full time job was caring for her children.



She was converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cottbus, Germany. She enjoyed reading, sewing and music. She especially loved spending time at Bear Lake with her family and German friends.



She is survived by her husband Von G. Lofgreen, her daughters, Sophia Lofgreen, Susan Rivera (Benjamin Rivera), Sylvia Majhanovich (Michael Majhanovich), her nine grandchildren, her two great-grandchildren, her brother Heinz Jelitto (Erika Jelitto), her brother-in-law (James Smyly), and her sister-in-law (Gerda Jelitto).



Funeral Services will be held August 31, 2019 with a viewing at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' Union Fort Relief Society Room located at 7155 S 541 E, Midvale, Utah. Graveside Service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery.
