Charles Pullman

Charles Dee Pullman, 87, of Spanish Fork, Utah, peacefully passed away in his home on August 31, 2023. He was born on April 21, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, to Emerson August Pullman and Agnes Hazel (Throckmorton) Pullman. Dee spent his formative years in Spanish Fork, where he developed strong roots and cherished memories. In 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Leifson, embarking on a lifelong journey together. They built a loving and nurturing home for their family. Sadly, Elaine passed away in 2012, leaving behind a void that Dee carried in his heart. Driven by his passion for science and learning, Dee pursued higher education at Brigham Young University, immersing himself in chemistry, physics, and mathematics. He also earned a Master's Degree in Physical Science from Texas A&M University. Dee taught subjects such as earth science, physics, chemistry, math, and photography at Spanish Fork Jr. High. Dee's talents extended beyond the classroom. He possessed a remarkable skill set as a craftsman, excelling in house painting, electric work, and home building. Known for his attention to detail, Dee took on various construction projects with unwavering determination and also earned his General Contractor's license. His expertise also extended to boat building and restoration, welding, and tackling any challenge that came his way. Dee's commitment to excellence was evident in all his endeavors, and he lived by his motto, "the painter will fix it," ensuring impeccable results. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Choya (John) Reese, Lewis Ray (deceased), Jana (Catherine), Paul (Juli), Craig (Chris) and Wayne (Jenifer), and by his 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Dee's life will be held on Saturday, September 9th at the Oakview Ward meeting house located at 3477 East River Bottom Road, Spanish Fork, Utah.
