Charalene Ralphs passed away on March 29, 2025 at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and faith.
Born on September 23, 1953, in American Fork, Utah, to Lee and Donna Ralphs, Charalene was the cherished only daughter among three brothers, Doug, David, and Robert. From a young age, she embraced hard work and community involvement, participating in 4-H and developing a deep appreciation for nature. Summers after high school were spent working within the breathtaking landscapes of Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, experiences that fostered her lifelong love of travel and discovery.
Charlene married John Whitehead in the Provo Temple, and together they raised six wonderful children: Heather (Kevin) Morgan; Sarah Baker and her child, Tobin Schelin; Mark (Natalie) Whitehead; Theresa (Eric) Sedgwick and their children, Trinity, Sophie, and Jaxson; Paul (Hermelinda) Whitehead; and Aaron (Ashlee) Whitehead and their children, Foster and Sawyer. Though life took unexpected turns, she remained devoted to her family and continued to find joy in learning and experiencing the world.
Her adventurous spirit led her across the globe, traveling to Jerusalem, Israel, England, Wales, Scotland, and even China with students from Snow College. She found fulfillment in music and was honored to sing with the Tabernacle Choir for a time.
Charalene’s kindness, resilience, and love of knowledge touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she enriched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she now be welcomed into the loving arms of her family and Heavenly Father.
