It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor Carolyn Sue Rockwell, age 77, who returned home to her heavenly father on December 2nd 2024 in Lehi, Utah, after a short battle with lung cancer.
Carolyn was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom, and an abundance of love. She was born on December 11th 1946 to Robert Ola Rockwell and Nola June Prowse in Standardville, Utah. She was the youngest of 3 children and had a close relationship with her siblings Sheila Kay Dye and Robert (Rocky) Vaughn Rockwell up until their passing. Carolyn grew up in Utah where she attended schools in Provo and Salt Lake City.
In August of 1967 she married Jesse L. Stubbs, they later divorced. Carolyn’s greatest joy came from being a mom to 7 beautiful children. Carolyn worked in various fields throughout her life but truly enjoyed the time she spent being a senior companion. She was later reunited with the love of her life Jesse L. Stubbs until his passing in 2021.
From a young age Carolyn had a love for music and enjoyed family jam sessions where they would sing and play musical instruments. She quickly developed friendships, loved to visit and make others laugh. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, true crime, and most of all spending time with her family.
Carolyn is survived by her children Brenda (Bryan) Roberts, Lake Havasu, Arizona; Shelly Myers, Lake Havasu, Arizona; Jessica (Jody) Olsen, Highland, Utah; Jackie (Cory) Stokes, Saratoga Springs, Utah; Travis Stubbs, American Fork, Utah; Casey (Brandon) Devey, American Fork, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son, Patrick Stubbs; son in-law Bill Myers; and the love of her life, Jesse L. Stubbs.
Please join us for a celebration of life at 11:00am on Saturday, December 7th at 320 North 100 East American Fork, Utah.
